I thought Slash's brother Ash designed the cover of the first solo album...?

I just didn't particularly like it and thought it was a bit too gimmicky.

The contrast of the girls on the new album look great, would make an awesome tattoo design.

New album looks a bit tacky..... I think they made the whole thing and forgot to add Slash's name, then just quickly added it on top with MS Paint. I prefer the last album cover myself.

As for Slash's brother, he only designed the 'Slash' name logo, not the album art. 

Yeah the "slash" part at the top is VERY average but I like the rest.

I'd like to think we all agree it is better than the deluxe edition though... I hate that cover! Haha.

I think that's a brilliant cover representing Gonzo art by Ralph Steadman. He did the cover for Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas and a lot of other work for Hunter S Thompson. 

I think it's pretty shit really haha. 'Apocalyptic Love' is a really terrible name that makes no sense, and the album art is just super cheesy. It's like some kinda spoof.. as if he'd got every cheesy 80's cliché and shoved it into one album cover. It'd look better on a Steel Panther album.

The SLASH looks like a porno mag font (not even a classy porno mag), the Myles part looks like a propaganda poster font, and the title fades away.  I've expressed distaste in the new album cover before, might as well dig deeper hah.  

But I will still totally buy it.  I'm not that bothered. 

Just heard the full single on Triple M Sydney.... and I loved it! Complete rock n roll with kickass riffing and kickass vocals with a kickass solo!

The "SLASH" at the top is actually a part of a font family called Gotham which was most famously used in Obama's presidential campaign (I think this time they use a variation of it again but I haven't really kept up with their current look). So I don't think I'd call it a porno mag font :lol: It's also over-used in TV and movies as one of the main alternatives to the king of overused typefaces: Helvetica.

I certainly prefer the way "slash" is written on the cover of this album. I always thought the one from his first album looked like it would be better suited for a rapper, not a rocker. It's not to say it's bad, just didn't suit IMO.
