    Slash is set to play a show in the British town where he was raised, Stoke-on-Trent, returning for the first time since he was five.
    Slash is set to play his first show in his British hometown, Stoke-on-Trent.
    The former Guns N' Roses guitarist will play in the British midlands town for the first time during a tour of Europe later this summer, his first visit since he was five.
    He wrote on his twitter page: "Last show of South American tour tonight in Cordoba! Then home to work on new record until Euro tour in July! Its gonna be epic! *wink* (sic)
    "Actually its more of a UK tour w/some Euro dates thrown in. We're playing Stoke! Its my 1st visit since I was 5 yrs old. *wink* (sic)."

    I guess the venues there are rather small?! Does anyone know where he's likely to play? Kinda cool that he's going there for a gig (and it might help with the whole statue thing, too :lol: )

    It's pretty amazing. I think it will be a very special show, would love to go but i'm a bit far from there (in Portugal).

    I'll be going to England in August and I happen to have a drive there that's taking me close to Stoke On Trent. I was thinking to have a look though it's probably a small, uninteresting town. But why not have a look huh?

    yeah why not! you can report back with whatever interesting thing happened there and how amazing it looks :lol:

    Or just go to any small town in the UK and say you went to Stoke (they all look the same anyway)

    In all honesty, Stoke-on-Trent reminded me of a real life to scale Ganton from GTA San Andreas by RockStar, each time I went. (Not the whole of Los Santos, just Ganton.)

    That is my honest opion of Stoke-on-Trent.
