I have a Vintage Telecaster Icon I got for like £130.. it's pretty good, especially for the price. I'm gonna put a new pickup in it and it should sound awesome.. plus it's all road worn and looks badass.
Anyway, no idea about this guitar.. didn't even know it existed, but I've played the V100 Icon and that was pretty good too, again, for the price. This is probably on par with an Epiphone, I'd guess.
[quote]NAMM 2011 — John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd., exclusive worldwide trade distributors of Vintage guitars, is proud to introduce the new Vintage V100AFD Paradise to its immensely popular Vintage V100 range.
Nothing against cheap guitars, but making a blatant copy AND calling it AFD Paradise AND showing up at NAMM where the "official" thing is likely to be displayed at the Gibson booth does seem strange (to say the least). I'm not even remotely interested in checking this one out
BTW: I do realise that the AFD gtr wasn't even a Gibson so it's weird that they sell a copy of a copy but still... They were the ones who were copied in the first place so you could say that they have every right to copy everyone who copies them.
your other thread about the epiphone guitar is closed.... so i'll reply in this one...
i have the epiphone version - i think it sounds great. it comes with the new slash alnico pickups... sounds great through my afd100 ;) i can try to answer any question you have.
